“We arrived on Friday evening and greeted by Diana , the studio was lovely , very homely and Diana had left us little cakes out. There was also fruit and the essentials like milk , tea bags etc. Diana also messaged us later on in the night to let us know the weather had cleared up and that the stars were viewable from outside which was thoughtful of her. Me and my boyfriend thought we had no chance of seeing the stars as if he’d been foggy and rainy up until that point. We went to a wedding on Saturday so came home in the night and relaxed again, the studio is a perfect space to spend some quiet time together. The geese rabbits and chickens were also great to spy out of the window in the mornings ! Xx”
15th February to 3rd March 2019. The dark skies festival comes again. This year has a Moon theme. It will be the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing in 2019, and the first week of the festival will have a full moon. So watch out for events in the area. We are a perfect place to stay whilst you enjoy the dark skies.
Diana’s cottage is in a storybook setting and she and her husband will take very good care of you.
Thank you for everything, Diana. You and your husband were wonderfully accommodating, and Boltby was the most charming place I have ever stayed!
Dana really enjoyed our Herriott connection and the local links to the famous vet. She also discovered how close we are to York, using the park and ride scheme, and all York’s history.
Diana's double room for guest is AMAZING! Astonishing view from the balcony, and cosy environment inside. Though we didn't explore too much outside the building, due to the weather condition. They prepared self-edited dedicating brochures for footpath, there is a very popular restaurant nearby. And I have to mention Diana's special breakfast, that is MUST HAVE choice, believe me, though it's not included on airbnb booking. I'm not going to describ it here to lefe a suprise for you guys. :) And we got very warm welcome when we arrived and had very kind advices about the points of interest nearby. And all of these made our long weekend with full of beautiful memories. Oh, we had a 1.6 years old baby with us, and Diana make the double room 110% than we expected, toys, baby cot and enough covers/pillows and quilts. I would recommend everyone near York to try this B&B. Thank you again, Diana!

“Diana's place is an excellent base for exploring the Yorkshire Moors. The bed is comfortable, the shower is hot, and kitchen is fully stocked. As an added bonus, the views of the sunset over the valley from the sitting area are stunning. You won't need to use the TV. We would heartily recommend staying at Diana's place.”
“Wonderful stay, amazing view and a very comfortable space. Highly recommended.”
We had a lovely couple of days with Diana and Simon in their beautiful self contained BnB room. It was a pleasure to meet them both; they were friendly, welcoming and happy to help with tips and information on the area. There were many thoughtful touches in the room that made us feel welcome - delicious cake and homemade lemonade when we arrived, choice of cooked or continental of breakfast ( lovely homemade jam), a fruit bowl, milk in the fridge, and pretty roses on the table. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our brief stay. Many thanks
“We had an amazing stay! The cottage was lovely and clean , the view was gorgeous and we would definitely recommend Diana and Simon to other people. The children loved the animals and there was loads to do in surrounding areas. ”
