The Lost Words exhibition (15 June - 29 July). Praised for helping reconnect adults and children with the natural world using the power of words and art. This is a great opportunity to explore the natural world on our doorstep. www.northyorkmoors.org.uk/thelostwords
The National Park's Land of Iron project once again brings back Rosedale Wildlife Week (23 - 29 June) with a host of nature-based guided walks, talks and field trips. It’s an excellent opportunity for nature lovers to meet experts, gain wildlife tips and understand the rich diversity of wildlife. Events are free and can be booked online. The Moorsbus will be doing additional services too.
We enjoyed our stay with you immensely! You were so kind to ensure that our visit was a highlight of our 3-week trip to England. We appreciate that Simon went out of his way to pick us up in Helmsley and show us more of the Cleveland Trail than we would have seen by walking. And so good of him to take us to the pub for supper and send us on our way to Osmotherly the next day! Your accommodation is superb and the views out the French windows excel. Thank you so much for a memorable night and day in Boltby.
“We had a lovely stay in Boltby. It's a stunning area. Although it was only for one night, sadly, Diana and her partner really made sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!”

Absolutely stunning place, very private away from the main house and the use of the garden room was particularly lovely. The hosts were fantastic, really helpful and great communication. We would really recommend this place as a base for exploring the beautiful countryside on Diana doorstep.
We particularly appreciated the walk maps. We would love to stay again and explore more of what Boltby and its surrounds have to offer. Thank you.
The daffodils are magnificent this year following the lovely sunny week we have just had. The ones in Farndale will be out soon. I recommend the walk there with lunch/coffee at the Daffy cafe.
“Would really recommend this place, the view is absolutely amazing! There was some lovely home made cakes waiting for us when we arrived. We loved having all the chickens, geese and rabbits wandering around too. Even though it was January, the wood burning fire was fantastic and kept the whole place really toasty. Having the full kitchen amenities was very handy too, not all smaller places have a full oven and hob. Definitely give this place a try!”
